The silence overwhelms and heightens my senses, I am exhilarated and shocked at the vanishing I see before me. Remainders of peeling paint and wallpaper become reminders of those who once were, the bewitching and intricate ornamentation of decay envelopes every surface. All is still, motionless.
Symbols of life and death are represented by lost and found objects, child mannequins echo lives that now cease to exist. I am drawn to the presence evident in small traces that have been left behind; I build a narrative which stems from the beauty found in the insignificant.
